On July 24, 2023, the Spanish financial regulator CNMV issued a warning to 10 unauthorized foreign exchange traders.

In accordance with Article 17, paragraph 2, of the Securities Market Law (recast text approved by Royal Decree No. 4/2015 of October 23), Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) warns that the following companies have not Authorized to provide investment services specified in Article 140 of the Spanish Securities Market Law. This includes investment advice or the provision of ancillary services in relation to financial instruments referred to in section 2 of the Act as detailed in paragraphs (a), (b), (d), (f) and (g) of section 141 of the Act, Includes foreign currency transactions for this purpose.
